The Lhazareen have been raided by the Dothraki for as long as memory serves. Khal Drogo's khalasar sacked a Lhazarene village, and the healer Mirri Maz Duur — who took her revenge on Drogo — was Lhazareen. The region has no military to speak of.

Peaceful farming people called "Lamb Men" by the Dothraki. They grow crops and raise sheep rather than wage war. Gentle culture, deeply spiritual, historically victimized by Dothraki raids.
